Dereham Day

Dereham Day 2025 is set to take place on Saturday, May 10, celebrating the community spirit and heritage of the Norfolk market town. The event will feature over 100 local groups and participants, with activities spread across venues like Dereham Neatherd High School. Attendees can look forward to live music, workshops, stalls, and family-friendly attractions such as face painting, alpacas, and physical challenges hosted by local organisations.
As part of the festivities, the Mid-Norfolk Railway (MNR) will offer free train travel to residents of select postcode areas. Individuals residing in NR9, NR18, NR19, and NR20 can enjoy complimentary rides on the heritage railway by presenting proof of address at Dereham Station or to the ticket inspector on board.
Fares
Tickets can be bought at Dereham station, if you are boarding at either Yaxham or Thuxton tickets can be bought on the train.
As a part of the Dereham Day celebrations taking place at Dereham Neatherd High School, the Mid-Norfolk Railway is offering local residents free rides between Dereham & Thuxton (proof of address required - postal area: NR9, NR18, NR19 & NR20)
