GROUPS, CHARTERS & COACHES
Group Travel & Charter Trains
The Mid-Norfolk Railway operates a full service of timetabled trains throughout the year and it is possible to pre-book a group on any of these services.
Special discounted fares are available for pre booked groups of 10 or more passengers.
We have catered for a wide range of groups, including weddings & anniversary trips, birthday parties and other family celebrations, corporate functions and clubs & societies days out.
For schools groups, we can offer various talks about the running of a railway including the history, finances, engineering, and tourism aspects. We also work closely with Wymondham Abbey, who can offer guided tours and educational talks included in our package.
If you wish to charter a special train for your own use, we can offer this service at times and days (outside normal operating days) to suit your needs, subject to any engineering works taking place out of season. Details of the hire charges for a charter train are available on request.
Contact our Groups & Charters Director through firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
Coach Party Packages
The Mid-Norfolk Railway organises various special packages for coach parties.
Please contact us for information about these.
Fully qualified catering staff are able to provide various refreshments at a reasonable cost for both groups and charter train passengers.
Every effort will be made to cater for any special dietary requirements, providing advance notice is given.
Cream tea specials and fish and chip lunches are available on summer steam services by prior arrangement.
At Dereham Station there is a large car park which is also is suitable for coaches.
The car park at Wymondham Abbey is too small for coaches, but can fit a few cars. However, coaches can still pick up and drop off passengers at the station.
