We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting two Heritage Open Days at the railway in September.
The first will be on Saturday 16th September at Dereham Station (Station Road, Dereham, NR19 1DF) between 9.30am and 4pm.
Dereham’s Fiery Dragon - and other Railway Relics
Talks, tours, steam train action and more... something for everyone, including crafty kids!
Watch our 'fiery dragon' as it arrives/departs on scheduled passenger services - and get a close look at the loco from the station platform. You might even get to see the fireman replenish it's tank from the water crane.
Discover the origin and development of the local railways at one of the illustrated short talks and by visiting our Museum Room, while a guided tour around the station's public areas will give you the low-down on the station itself and adjacent railway buildings.
And if you want a real insight into railway life of the past then come along to another of our short talks when a retired railwayman who has 'been there, done that - and has the T-shirt' will recount some reminiscences and anecdotes.
And for those 'crafty kids'? For children we offer very simple paper-based craft and/or decorating, with the proviso that they are accompanied by a responsible adult.

The second will be on Sunday 17th September at County School Station (Holt Road, North Elmham, NR20 5LE) between 11:30am & 3pm.
A chance to explore this classic Great Eastern Railway junction station, and find out about how we plan to develop and improve this established attraction.
Meet the volunteer Stationmaster, as tour guide, and explore areas of the station not normally open to the public. Hear stories of lives lived on and around the railway at this special place. See the latest developments on the Wensum Valley Miniature Railway.

This post stood out for its clear explanation and practical approach to the topic. It’s the kind of content that feels both useful and burlington flower delivery easy to engage with. I came across a related article which offered another interesting perspective.
A mate from uni passed on a https://www.dating.com/ after a nasty split, just to help take my mind off things and meet someone new. One night when my brain wouldn't switch off and I couldn't drift off to sleep, I hopped on and was impressed by how peaceful the whole setup was—no heaps of pressure or loud distractions. Had a glass of something cold, relaxed, and felt the anxiety finally start to lift. It was the exact bit of headspace I’d been looking for.
This was a very informative and well-presented post on Heritage Open Days 2023 at the Mid-Norfolk Railway. It really highlights how heritage railways continue to keep local history alive while engaging the community in a meaningful way. https://www.attn2detail.info/ approach in describing the visitor experience and event highlights adds a clear sense of authenticity and depth. I recently came across a similar discussion on a review blog, and it offered an interesting perspective as well. Overall, a great reminder of how well-organized heritage events can bring history closer to people.
Honestly didn’t expect much, but this name generator surprised me. It mixes styles pretty well, especially if you're looking for unique usernames.
I spent a few nights exploring different live roulette tables online, and what struck me was how much the little interface tweaks mattered-like chip sizing, table view options, and how dealer interactions felt surprisingly personal. I found myself appreciating a calm, measured commentary rather than flashy animations. If anyone’s curious, SlotCity Live Roulette https://slotcity.ua/live/live-roulette had a good balance of smooth video feed and clear betting options, making it easy to focus on strategy rather than distraction. Felt genuine, like playing in a small, local casino.
