Returning for 2024, The Dino Squad Express

Following on from the success of our 2023 event, The Dino Squad are coming back to the Mid Norfolk Railway for 2024! Come along and meet some of your favourite dinosaurs, with a few new surprises as well!

​

Starting at Dereham Station, members of the Dino Squad and their Rangers will keep you entertained on your steam* hauled train ride, before pulling into Thuxton Station to get up close and personal with the King of the Dinosaurs.

 

During your visit help us to find the naughty missing dinosaur - keep your eyes peeled around the station, onboard the train and at Thuxton Station for letters to spell out his name! Brave explorers will be rewarded back at Dereham Station with a dinosaur sticker and meeting the missing dino himself.
 

Your ticket includes one round trip between Dereham and Thuxton (approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes**) at your pre-ordered time, as well as access to our station and marquee. In the marquee there will be dinosaur activities, photo opportunities and displays. Our tea room will also be open providing refreshments and snacks for all ages, including special dinosaur-themed lunch boxes.

Price:

​

£22.50 per person, includes one return trip between Dereham & Thuxton, plus access to the dinosaurs and activities at Dereham. Under 2s can travel for free on a paying adult's lap. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Seating is arranged around tables for 4, please be aware that any bookings not in multiples of 4 will likely share a table with members of another party.

Please note due to the age and style of our carriages we are unable to accommodate any wheelchairs onboard this service. Pushchairs and buggies may be left at Dereham Station.

Parking is available at Dereham Station on a first come first served basis and cannot be guaranteed. Please note that whilst some car parks in Dereham are currently free to park, some do have a maximum stay time limit. We ask that you plan your visit and parking accordingly.
