 Pacer weekday train rides

Come along, explore and enjoy a mid week train ride through the Heart of Norfolk countryside on board one of our 1980s British Leyland pacer trains. A fine workhorse of many British Branch lines throughout their 40 year career on the mainline, they spent much over their lives throughout Central and Northern England & Wales.

  • 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th June

  • 3rd, 10th, 17th July

  • 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th September

  • 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th October

Our Dereham station tea room, museum and shop will be open on these days for you to also explore. County School station tea room will also be open (own transport needed!)

Dates and allocations are planned to run but are subject to change at short notice.

*Please note that Yaxham/Kimberley are request stops. If you are wishing to board please raise one arm out as the train is approaching. If you are wishing to alight please inform the guard/ticket inspector as soon as possible.


Tickets can be purchased on the day of travel.
